Fleeson Gooing attorney Megan Townsley recently traveled to Washington, D.C. with a group from Washburn University Law School to view a session of the United States Supreme Court and then be sworn into the United States Supreme Court Bar.
As it turned out, the group’s visit coincided with the Court’s announcement of its decision in Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, which held that tariffs imposed by the President under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act were unconstitutional. Given the high interest in this decision, the courtroom was crowded with spectators and media.
Megan was accompanied on the trip by her parents Bill and Karen Townsley. Bill is a Fleeson Gooing attorney who is also a member of the Supreme Court Bar, as are several other members of the firm.
