Fleeson Gooing attorney Matt Sondergard has completed the Heart of America Fellows Institute, an extensive and distinguished program sponsored by the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
The Institute consists of three intensive two-day sessions at different locations in the Midwest spread out over the course of several months. The sessions are focused on advanced professional development for trust and estate lawyers at a formative stage of specialization. Each session features nationally recognized speakers, interactive learning, and valuable networking opportunities. The Institute is open to lawyers who concentrate, or seek to concentrate, in trusts and estates law, generally those with two to seven years of experience, and who are nominated by an ACTEC Fellow. The Institute is designed to foster professional growth, technical excellence, and leadership within the trust and estate profession.
Matt joined Fleeson Gooing in 2020. He practices primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law, and Guardianships and Conservatorships. The knowledge he gained at the Institute will greatly enhance his practice in these areas.
In addition, Fleeson Gooing attorney Kent Meyerhoff was a speaker at the last session of the Institute held in St. Louis. Kent has practiced with the firm for over 30 years, primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law, and Intellectual Property. He is one of only 15 ACTEC Fellows in the State of Kansas.
